Semua anggota grup Exist ketika itu berasal dari Johor dengan rata-rata berumur 13 tahun hingga 19 tahun. Mereka mempunyai bakat dan kemahiran bermain musik serta mencipta lagu karena masing-masing mempunyai latar belakang asas musik yang kukuh. Pada album kedua Exist yang berjudul Anugerah tahun , Shah telah menarik diri dari kumpulan Exist karena sebab yang tidak dapat dielakkan.
Maka tinggallah 5 orang anggota di dalam grup Exist. Namun mereka tetap maju ke depan. Ketika album ini turut menaikkan nama mereka sehingga perusahaan rekaman BMG Music telah melamar mereka untuk menjadi artis rakaman mereka.
Maka dengan itu mereka mengiklankan untuk mencari vokalis yang baru. Setelah menguji bakat mereka yang sedia diuji. Maka mereka telah tertarik dengan seorang remaja yang berasal dari Kedah yang berusia 16 tahun bernama Mohd Rohaizad Bin Mohd Lazim yang lebih dikenali sebagai Ezad.
Sejak dari itu, Ezad telah menjadi vokalis Exist yang baru dan telah merakamkan album pertamanya dengan Exist yang berjudul Diammu Gunung Berapi pada tahun Pemilihan Ezad sebagai vokalis baru Exist ternyata tidak sia-sia ketika album Diammu Gunung Berapi turut meletup sebagaimana letupnya gunung berapi hingga mencatatkan penjualan yang membanggakan. Malah album yang hits dengan lagu Alasanmu turut meletup di Indonesia dengan rekod sebanyak , unit.
