I have tried this before and ended up losing files. I was wonderinig if there is a proper guide on how to remove a server from a domain based DFS in windows ? Any answers are appreciated. I was up until God's hour this morning setting up DFS only to have it become an obstacle later in the day. I then spent a few hours disabling and cleaning up the mess it made along the way. I had workstations online during this, and they needed to be restarted to catch up with the changes.
